1. Who provides the service
Slabyrinth is provided by Slabyrinth LLC. These terms cover our websites and apps, including collecting tools, Kids Corner, and optional paid offerings. The Privacy Policy explains our handling of personal information; the Free Core Promise explains ordinary collecting access. An accepted product quote may add terms for that specific order. If it conflicts with these terms, the quote controls only the expressly agreed scope of that order. Mandatory consumer rights always apply.
2. Accounts and responsible use
The main account holder must be an adult legally able to enter an agreement where they live. Provide accurate account and billing information, keep credentials private, and tell support promptly if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission. You may use only accounts and records you are authorized to access. Do not impersonate others, bypass access controls, interfere with the service, distribute malware, scrape private records, or use the platform for fraud, harassment, threats, unlawful goods, or knowingly false provenance.
3. Ordinary collecting stays free
You do not need a subscription to keep using your ordinary dossiers, collection photos, written stories, galleries, binders, Journeys, ordinary OCR, provenance tools, privacy controls, insurance inventories, and standard exports. Canceling an optional subscription does not put your existing free collection behind a subscription paywall. Hosted video is always a paid extra. Reasonable security, file-size and abuse limits apply. Free access is not a promise of unlimited storage, permanent company operation, original-resolution archival storage, or availability of every planned feature. If we discontinue the service, we will provide notice and a reasonable export opportunity where practicable and lawful.
4. Your content and our limited permission
You retain the rights you hold in your photographs, writing, records and other uploads. You grant Slabyrinth a nonexclusive permission to store, process, resize, back up and display that content as needed to provide the features and visibility settings you choose, protect the service, and comply with law. You must have permission to upload and share it. We do not acquire ownership of your physical objects. This permission does not authorize selling your private records or using your voice or likeness to produce a commissioned film without separate consent. Slabyrinth branding, software and third-party reference materials remain subject to their owners’ rights.
5. Privacy, sharing and continuing history
Review visibility settings before publishing a dossier, image, exhibit or story. Public material may be viewed or copied by others; making it private later cannot recall copies already obtained. Private notes, financial details and supporting documents should not be included in public text. Removing an object from your gallery is distinct from deleting personal information or an account. Limited transaction, security and provenance history may need to remain for legitimate recordkeeping, dispute resolution or legal obligations, as explained in our Privacy Policy. Use Data Freedom for available exports and contact support for access, correction or deletion requests that the interface cannot complete.
6. Kids Corner and parent supervision
Kids Corner is a practice collection within an adult account. A parent or legal guardian must sign in and create or select a child profile; children do not create independent accounts or supply a separate email or password. Use a nickname and avoid names, school details, addresses, faces and other unnecessary personal information in photos or stories. Child practice records are separate from the continuing adult provenance record and may be deleted through the parent controls. Leaving Kids Corner ends the selected child session and returns to the signed-in adult account. This is supervised profile switching, not a locked child-only device: remain present or sign out of the adult account before leaving the device unattended. Parent notices and any consent required by applicable law must be completed before real child data is collected; these terms or a Parent PIN alone do not replace those requirements.
7. Identification, AI and professional advice
OCR, visual recognition, research suggestions, reference matches, estimates and automated alerts can be incomplete or wrong. Confirm important details against reliable sources and identify uncertain information as uncertain. Similar-looking objects are not necessarily the same object. A dossier, serial-number match, badge or recorded owner is not a certification of authenticity, legal title, appraisal, insurance coverage or a guarantee of value. Slabyrinth is not your grader, insurer, attorney or investment adviser. A digital assignment or succession plan does not by itself transfer a physical object or override a will, court order or applicable law.
8. What is available to purchase
Only the features identified as available in your environment and the final checkout are offered for immediate purchase. Labels such as planned, interest only, concept and request a quote do not represent an active service, reservation, confirmed supplier or stock on hand. Development and sandbox orders use test payments, grant no production subscription or real shipment, and may be reset for testing. Verified sandbox payments may grant test video allowances while the Dev processor is available. We will not treat a test order as an instruction to mail objects.
9. Prices, fees and authorization
Review the item description, currency, quantity, applicable taxes, disclosed payment fees, renewal schedule and total before confirming payment. Web payment processing is provided through Stripe; eligible processing charges are shown separately before you pay. The planned marketplace commission does not apply to Club or video purchases. No fee is authorized merely by viewing a product or requesting a quote. An order receipt records payment status separately from fulfillment: a pending or failed payment does not activate paid access. Purchases through an app store use that store’s payment system and applicable purchase terms; do not pay twice for the same intended entitlement.
10. Collector’s Club and renewals
The proposed Collector’s Club price is US$4.99 per billing month before applicable tax and any permitted, disclosed Web payment fee. When available for live purchase, it renews automatically until canceled. Checkout must show your actual recurring total and billing schedule. Cancel future Web renewals through order billing management, or manage an app-store subscription through that store. If the cancellation control fails, contact support promptly. Cancellation stops future renewals and does not erase your free collection; paid access normally remains through the paid period unless a refund or other disclosed condition changes it. Any price change requires advance notice and any consent required by law. Planned alerts are not a guaranteed current membership benefit.
11. Video blocks and paid hosting
Club provides 120 seconds each billing month in four 30-second blocks. Select up to 30, 60, 90 or 120 seconds for an upload. A 22-second video uses one full block; the remaining eight seconds are not a separate credit. Unused monthly allowance does not roll over. Deleting or shortening a hosted video may release whole allocated blocks for a replacement on the same item under the displayed replacement rules; it does not create cash, transferable credits or an additional monthly grant. One-time video packs have a separate paid balance and do not renew automatically. Failed processing releases its reservation. Playback targets 720p; original-resolution archival storage is not included. Before a live video sale, checkout must disclose hosting duration, cancellation effects, download options and any removal notice period. Keep your own original files; no indefinite hosting promise is made.
12. Quotes, capsules and custom work
Physical goods, memory capsules, custom museums and creative services require an accepted scope, price and turnaround before work begins. A capsule’s initial kit and intake scope includes the shipping, intake processing, categorizing, detailing and personalized ID expressly listed in the quote; annual custody, insurance, special handling and final recipient delivery must be itemized separately. Concept images are not tested material, capacity, waterproofing or longevity specifications. Do not send objects until a confirmed provider, custody agreement and shipping instructions exist. Date-based or verified-death release requires the agreed verification and authorized-recipient process; inactivity is not proof of death. Personal hand delivery requires a location-and-time-specific quote. An illustrated 2% annual adjustment is not binding unless expressly included in your accepted quote. Custom-domain scope, domain ownership, renewal responsibility, revisions and handover arrangements must be agreed before registration or design work.
13. Independent specialists and referrals
A directory listing or external link does not mean a provider is a Slabyrinth partner, endorsed specialist or discount participant. Where a professional contracts directly with you, review that provider’s qualifications, terms, fees and responsibilities. We will disclose any applicable referral compensation before a compensated introduction. Private dossiers or contact details require the separate sharing approval described in the referral process. Legal, insurance, appraisal, grading and auction outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Voice or likeness work requires permission from the person whose identity is used and clear labeling of synthetic material.
14. Problems, cancellations and refunds
Contact support with your order reference, what happened and the outcome you request. Do not send full payment-card details or passwords. We will investigate duplicate charges, unavailable paid access and items or services that do not match the agreed scope. Refunds, repairs, replacements and cancellation rights required by law remain available; these terms do not impose a blanket no-refund policy. Custom work and physical custody need their own disclosed cancellation and return terms before payment. App-store purchases use the applicable store’s refund process. You may use the dispute rights provided by your payment provider or law; contacting us first does not waive them.
15. Moderation, suspension and service reliability
We may restrict unlawful or harmful content, investigate credible rights or safety reports, and suspend access reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these terms or comply with law. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide a support route to request review; urgent security or legal situations may limit advance notice. Service interruptions, incomplete references and software errors can occur. Beta features may change. Keep independent copies of irreplaceable originals and verify important exports. Nothing here excuses a failure to provide a paid service as agreed or removes remedies that law requires.
16. Rights, disputes and changes to these terms
Nothing in these terms excludes liability or a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights concerning privacy, defective services, fraud or personal injury. We do not require arbitration or a class-action waiver in this version. Contact support first if you would like us to try to resolve a dispute; applicable courts and mandatory local law remain available. Material changes will be dated and communicated before taking effect where required. Changes do not retroactively rewrite an accepted order. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply to the extent lawful.
